2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect identification and contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order and payment-status information, customer-service messages, product preferences, account details, device and browser information, IP address, cookie identifiers, consent choices and website usage data.

Payment-card data is generally collected directly by the payment provider and is not stored in full by Polhus.

3. Sources

Data is collected from you, your device, Shopify and connected service providers, payment providers, carriers, fraud-prevention services and, where appropriate, publicly available or authorised sources.

  • To process orders, payments, delivery, returns and customer support: performance of a contract.
  • To maintain records, issue invoices and comply with tax, accounting, consumer and legal obligations: legal obligation.
  • To secure the store, prevent fraud, improve services and defend legal claims: legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • To send marketing messages or use non-essential cookies: consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Recipients and service providers

We may share data as necessary with Shopify, payment providers, delivery and installation partners, IT and hosting suppliers, customer-support and analytics providers, professional advisers, insurers, public authorities and parties involved in a business reorganisation. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for their role and must protect it.

6. International transfers

Some providers, including Shopify and its affiliates, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard.

7. Retention

We retain order, invoice and transaction data for periods required by tax, accounting and consumer law. Customer-service, account, fraud-prevention and marketing data is retained only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal claims or consent management, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also give instructions concerning your data after death where French law permits.
